About this Site

The "significant events" timeline of this website:
September 3rd, 1999 - Website created. Was called "Aussie Comedians."
May 2000 - Added to the website were international comedians seen on Australian TV shows (like Boothby Graffoe and Ross Noble). Renamed Dominus Comedius Australis.
June 14th, 2000 - The beginning of the Comedian Yellow Pages.
August 2000 - Expanded to include comedians that Australians could see in one way or another, just as long as they didn't have to go overseas.
Jan-March 2001 - Moved from angelfire.com to another free site. March saw a lot of moving backward and forward between a couple of free sites. This is what led to getting ComedyDownUnder.com.
April 1st, 2001 - Renamed The Comedy Palooza because I included a "science-fiction" section.
April 30th, 2001 - Moved to paid space and the domain ComedyDownUnder.com, therefore renamed again.
August 26th, 2001 - Version 2.0 released. The website was separated into sections (Aussie Humour, International Humour, and Extra Stuff) and the Sci-Fi Comedy section was removed.
September 21st, 2001 - Launched the Comedian Interaction Board. This board no longer exists in the same form because I changed to a server that wouldn't let me keep it.
January 5th, 2003 - Started to be integrated with PHP code. This is how the Australian Comedian Yellow Pages, and Australian Comedian Profiles were viewed from then on.
May 1st, 2003 - Australian Comedians were given access to create and update their profiles.
October 2003 - As a slightly belated birthday present for the website, ComedyDownUnder.com changed its server location again, and version 3.0 is released. It is now integrated with a MySQL database as well as PHP. No more HTML pages!
August 2006 - Removed the forum due to lack of use and spam problems, while also releasing a new layout for version 4.0.
